Rainforest Cafe

The night we had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe will be a night I always remember, and feel horrible about.  By the time we got from our hotel to the MGM (where Rainforest Cafe is), ALL THREE kids had fallen asleep, and were OUT!  It was just past 6pm, but after a day of no naps, and the beach, they were all wiped out!  I thought at the time the best thing would be to just let them sleep, and selfishly, I thought this could be the most peaceful dinner all weekend!

As you can see from the pictures Allison and Conner woke up about an hour later, right when the food was arriving, and had a great time.  They loved the monkeys swinging in the trees, the canopy above our heads, and of course having dinner with GG Flo, G&G Jones, and Kim, Brian & cousin Austin!  And...Cayden just kept sleeping.

Someone ordered this gigantic brownie volcano, and we celebrated the February and March birthdays.  We were at the restaurant for over two hours, and had a great time.

After we left we were waiting for our car at the MGM valet, and Cayden woke up.  He immediately said, "I want chicken nuggets when we eat at the jungle!"  He was so excited to go eat at the jungle, and I was about to cry.  I felt horrible!  Keir tried to explain that he fell asleep, and that we did order him some chicken he could eat back at our hotel room.  He cried.  We managed to get him back to the our hotel, and gave him his chicken nuggets.  He started to cry again, and said, "Mom, can you please make them NOT cold!"  I almost cried again - we did not have any way to heat up his dinner.  I wish I had woken him up so he could've experienced the "jungle" for dinner with everyone.  At the time, I just thought he needed the sleep.  Another lesson learned.

I would've done the same thing to let him sleep... and I would've almost cried too... now we know for next time... kids bounce back though... next time he can have warm nuggets in the jungle! :) That's so cute! Looks like there is PLENTY for little kids AND BIG kids to do in Vegas! :)
