Conner is just over two hours into his surgery (after the extensive prep the surgery actually began at 10:50am), and so far they have not needed to use the heart lung bypass machine. The collateral vessels have supplied an alternate route for his blood flow for almost seven years, and now these collateral vessels are making it possible to do this complicated graft to connect his aorta without bypass - amazing! They told us there is still a chance he will need bypass, but as of right now, he does not. More as we get news . . .
